My picture of Tutu.
The chickens in their coop.
The kitchen, just a shot of the house.
Abi looking in the pond, a shot of the fields.
Life in the Right Lane
We are in Washington for a couple of days while Anne works at a workshop on transforming undergraduate biology education. I've been out looking at the city, and got this shot of the Washington monument.
Shortly after that, three helicopters flew over, with the lead one landing at the White House, while the other two circled overhead. After a half hour or so, they headed back in the direction of Reagan International Airport.

The view from the site.
Under a surprisingly hot evening sun.
Steve and Elin with our dogs in the RV.

Bodie took a great interest in the drainage, guarded the hose while Ben showered.
Anne taking a moment.
Myself, as seen through Anne's lens
Ben outside after his shower, with the attentive Bodie in the background
Abie striking a glamour pose.
Maggie checking things out.
We were going to play boules, but the kids thought juggling would be more fun.
Abie shows a definite talent for juggling.
The Boules game underway. Ben and I won one round, and Anne stole one for the girls with a late brilliant toss.
Ben with the newly started campfire.
Anne snuggling with Abi by the fire.
Anne, Abi, and Ben by the fire.
As multiple bats swarmed overhead, Anne and Abi leapt in the air and called for Edward to come and take them away. (You have to be a Twilight fan.)
Towards the end of the evening.
