Bodie's Play Date
We had dinner with my Aunt Janel and Uncle Cliff tonight, after the boys got back from the World War I museum. It was so nice; they have a beautiful home and the food was wonderful - homemade beef stew and corn muffins, then brownies and watermelon for desert.
Will had red wine and kept talking about how great it was on our drive home. We both love red wine, but I have not been able to drink it for over a year because I invariably get a migraine afterwards. Which means that Will never drinks it, since he won't open a bottle just for himself. In fact, we brought a case and a half to Kansas with us and gave it to Mom and Dad since it was just taking up space at our house. I'm glad HE got to enjoy it. I had very nice iced tea, but it's not really the same. Stupid migraines.
It was such a nice evening, hanging out on the patio watching the dogs frolic and the conversation over dinner was so much fun that before we knew it, it was 10 pm and we REALLY needed to get back to the RV to the little dogs, who got left behind.
We brought Bodie, our Bernese Mountain Dog, with us so that he could have a playdate with Aspen, their Great Pyrenees. Bodie has almost never played with a dog his own size, so we thought it would be fun for him. At first he was a little scared of Aspen, but once they sniffed at each other for a few minutes they were bounding around the backyard like old buddies.
